How to Not Spend Hours Down the Gym!

It’s funny isn’t it how the very mention of the word exercise may send you into a state of panic, especially if you haven’t been active for some time.
Doctors advise that a minimum of 30 minutes exercise should be taken at least 5 times a week… but if you’re like me and you have a life :) … you don’t want to be spending so much time or even any time down the gym.
If you’ve been out of action for a while and you want to ease yourself back into it, try to think how you can incorporate exercise into your normal daily routine.
Why not…
1. Walk to work instead of using the car
2. Use the stairs instead of the elevator
3. If you have kids, become more active with them
4. Take the dog for a walk
5. Do some gardening
I’m sure you get the idea, but you may not think of it as exercise.
Any activity that will raise your heart rate and get you out of breath… is exercise in my book and done regularly will compliment your healthy eating to help you achieve your weight loss goals.
Don’t see exercise as a chore or something that you have to find time to do in your already busy lifestyle. Try and make the things you normally do more active and have fun doing it… as soon as it becomes boring try something new… and you will eventually get the results you’re after.
